What impact does changing the pore fluid from water to oil have on the seismic amplitude? SIP provides the answer.
AVO Modelling allows you to use well log data to understand the seismic response when different fluids are present within your reservoir. As these models can be used to predict the likelihood of a specific reservoir fluid (oil or gas) they form an important part of exploration and development projects. Results can be used to guide the seismic processing (for example, the choice of angle stack ranges) or test the seismic resolution of rock and fluid effects for logs that have been analysed using Rock Physics.
SIP is pleased to offer an AVO course taught by our Head of Rock Physics and Inversion, Dr. Anthony Fogg.
