SIP’s Extended SRME, E-SRMETM, is an iterative extension of the traditional SRME technique that typically attenuates more than 95% of multiple energy in the original data. E-SRMETM is effective in shallow water environments (<50m) where a traditional SRME will fail. In a recent competitive trial against other contractors, E-SRME provided the best level of multiple attenuation.

Effective regularisation is another key component of pre-migration processing. The fold, and especially offset, distribution of the data can vary significantly in both marine and land 3D surveys. This variation degrades velocity analysis, stacking and migration, leading to footprints visible in the final data which is often impossible to eliminate post-stack. SIP’s Extended Regularisation, E-REGTM, is a highly powerful Fourier based tool that honours the dip of the primary events.
